Engage in intense battles to emerge as the victorious Protostar! Drive your adversary into a SuperNova by strategically launching comets at their Protostar!
In this fast-paced 1v1 strategy game, players face off on the same device.
Note: Multiplayer mode only!
Gameplay:
- Take charge of a living, evolving star.
- Tap your star to release a comet.
- Alternatively, draw paths for your comets to strike your opponent's star before they hit yours!
- Your star expands over time and diminishes upon firing comets.
- Enhance your star by tapping and holding on it. This accelerates your growth but causes you to shrink during the upgrade process.
- Victory rewards you with your personal solar system adorned with charming little planets.
Challenge your friends in the same vicinity, on a shared iPad. Our goal is to unite friends in a board game-style encounter, battling it out in real-time. We aspire for this to become a timeless classic akin to chess, albeit humbly so. Supernova Duel distills contemporary Real-Time Strategy (RTS) games to straightforward yet stimulating mechanics.

"I set out to create a game that delivers enjoyment during social gatherings while fostering friendly competition. The challenge lay in crafting a simple strategy game focusing on its core strategic aspects. The endeavor of translating the ambiance from strategy board games into a real-time encounter was exhilarating. Regrettably, real-time strategy games necessitate digital support; hence the iPad was selected as the optimal platform for this experiment. My aim was for the game to encompass familiar features seen in standard strategy games: upgrading (tap and hold on the star), attacking (sending comets towards the enemy star), defending (launching comets against incoming enemy projectiles), resource management (balancing attack, defense, and upgrading), and tactics (opting for an unpredictable comet route or executing a precise strike when the opponent is vulnerable post-upgrade).
